Sometimes you just have to say Screw It and go to the amusement park (even when you are supposed to be packing and painting and cleaning your house because you are listing it to sell).

Elitch Gardens invited us to check out the Fright Fest that is taking place every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday through November 1st. They have two parts: Family By Day and Fright By Night. Fright By Night has haunted houses and apparently at night they have employees dressed up as zombies and they jump out and scare you and NO THANK YOU SIR. I will give you one guess which part we went to because Troy’s mother is afraid of the dark.

Family By Day runs 12pm to 5pm on Sat/Sun and kids can enjoy Free Candy on the Trick or Treat Trail, participate in a costume contest, make Halloween crafts, and partake in several Halloween themed interactive challenges without having the crap scared out of their mother.

We rode the KiddieLand roller coaster five times and that was about four times too many for me.

Seriously, this ride for two year olds made me kind of sick for the rest of the day. Getting old blows.
