A Safer Way For Kids To Watch TV: Kidoodle.TV + A Giveaway

We’ve been tossing around the idea of cutting cable and the kids are completely on board with it. The kids aren’t too picky about what they watch, I mean, they are in the middle of a Sabrina the Teenage Witch marathon right now and that show is almost 20 years old and they think it is the best thing they have ever seen mainly because of the talking cat. I’ve always been pretty laid back about screen time, but lately it seems it has been harder to monitor. We have iPhones, computers, iPads, gaming systems, regular boring TV…I can’t keep up with who is watching what and on what device. I was completely excited to learn about Kidoodle.TV: a safe, ad-free streaming video service that you can customize for your kids.

I set up my parent account on their website made a profile for my six year old. The passcode-protected Kidoodle.TV Parents Room features tools that allow you to set up profiles for up to five kiddos. You can control the content for each user by age and/or selecting certain shows that you want your kids to be able to access.

My son is a huge fan. He doesn’t have to depend on his sister to help him navigate Kidoodle.TV like he does with the other streaming service that we use.Kidoodle.TV is currently accessible from most Internet-connected devices, including iPad, Mac, PC, laptops, and Android and iOS tablets, or smartphones, and will be expanding to gaming consoles, smart TVs and other devices.

My favorite thing about Kidoodle.TV is the ability to set viewing time limits that Kidoodle.TV automatically enforces, but the commercial-free, no questionable content part is seriously fantastic too.

There are so many cool shows-new and retro-to choose from, my son has been watching the In Space series and he is so excited that he has 26 episodes to choose from, so perfect for my rocket man. Up next? GI Joe.
