Cheddar Bacon Ranch Pull Apart Bread

I made a batch of our favorite homemade bread dough over the weekend and decided to make a loaf of Cheddar Bacon Ranch Pull Apart Bread.

I tried this a few years ago for the first time at a friend’s house. I was shoveling hunks of bread into my face, I asked her for the recipe and she said, “Just Google it”. That is my most favorite answer for everything because all good things live in Google. There are about 107,000 recipes for this bread on Google and I’m about to bump it up to 107,001.

You need to start with a loaf of bread. Bake it, steal it, buy it at the store, it doesn’t matter. I baked this loaf in the morning and let it cool for a few hours before taking it to the next level.

Here’s what you need to make this magical bread happen: cheddar cheese, Ranch seasoning mix (I know, stay with me), bacon (I used peppered), and butter.

With a bread knife, slice from side to side in both directions and leave about an inch of space between each slice, it makes a criss cross pattern. Be careful not to cut all the way through the bread. Take the bacon and cheddar and stuff it into all the cuts in the loaf, there is no wrong way to do this.

Melt about half the stick of butter and stir in about 3 teaspoons of Ranch seasoning and pour it over the top of the stuffed loaf. Wrap the loaf in aluminum foil and bake in the oven at 350 degrees for about 15 minutes or until the cheese is melted.

I mean, seriously.

Cheddar Bacon Ranch Pull Apart Bread

1 loaf of bread
1 1/2 cups of cheddar, grated
3 ounces of bacon, cooked and diced
1/2 stick of butter, melted
3 teaspoons of dry ranch seasoning mix

Directions

1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees
2. With a bread knife, slice from side to side in both directions on top of the loaf and leave about an inch of space between each slice, making a criss cross pattern. Be careful not to cut all the way through the bread.
3. Stuff the bacon and cheddar into all the cuts in the loaf
4. Melt the butter, stir in ranch seasoning mix and pour over stuffed loaf
5. Wrap the loaf in aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes or until the cheese is melted

You eat it by pulling it apart, but I have a feeling you would have figured that out without the help of Google. Serve it with Ranch dressing or marinara or just eat the hell out of it plain. I would like to apologize in advance if you make this and you eat the entire loaf because it is that delicious.
