Around Here

I took these photos yesterday. I have two fat ass hummingbirds that are up in our feeder every day all day and I was trying to sneak up on them to grab and shot and they weren’t having it. Clearly hummingbirds aren’t as photogenic as squirrels.

Troy said “I bet you were walking too loud”, but he watches TV like this so what does he know.

I bought this little felt squirrel at Target, it was a craft kit for two bucks and I threw it in the cart for one of the “kids”.

Zoe had homework and Troy had important science to do, so put that squirrel together faster than you can say “Back off my glue dots”.

And because I don’t think I’ve typed squirrel enough, allow me to introduce you to my new squirrel salt and pepper shakers.

They will not be used for either salt or pepper because that’s how shit gets broken.

I freaking love fall, you guys. It’s when the best squirrel merch goes mainstream. (Trust me)

Straight From Kindy

School is going awesome around here. Troy is in half day Kindergarten, he goes from nine in the morning until noon. The only reason he isn’t in full day is because we didn’t want to pay $$$.

Free half day was good enough for Zoe and no one in this family is paying for Kindergarten, thanks.

My favorite part of Troy’s school? Unpacking his backpack.

According to Troy, the in class assignment was to draw what you care about and then cut out the heart with scissors.

That’s right, Troy cares about “a nuclear explosion”. Last weekend, J bought Troy a DVD at the antique mart titled “US Navy Carriers: Weapons Of War” and this happened only because I was off looking for a nightstand. I am fully prepared to explain this poor choice of cinematic material to his teacher via email if needed because nuclear explosion.

And when in doubt, just write “POOTS”.

I am so glad I’m not paying for this.

GOD BLESS ALL TEACHERS.
