31 Days: The Curtains
I had every intention to finish spray painting one bathroom light today and then I woke up to this:
Snow and 30 degrees outside means no go on the spray paint and that’s why I need a special spray paint room/area in the garage. Jeff isn’t willing to listen to any of that, so that’s why he gets to take another shower tonight by the light of the HK nightlight.
So, I tackled a project in my living room. My living room has looked like this (weird) for a year.
The walls on either side of the fireplace were burnt orange when we moved in and I painted them. And that’s where I ran out of steam.
I was so
inspired panicked to get a project done today, I hung my grandmother’s painting that I had framed and has been leaning up against the wall for oh, MONTHS AND MONTHS. It was very challenging, you know how hard it can be to find a nail and a hammer.
Since I do not have a special spray paint room (rage), I decided to hang curtains. I picked up a package of Vivans from IKEA the last time we were there because I can’t commit to anything more fancy or colorful than this.
So, I hung the curtains. And Troy was so exhausted from watching me work, he decided to take a nap as soon as I moved everything back into place.
I still need to hang more photos/art/anything and I would like a side table next to the couch, but it’s a start.
Also, let’s all just pretend that the curtains are hemmed and that I didn’t just shove them under the couch.
For 31 days, I’m tackling the Hot Mess. Read all about it here.
