We Totally Run This Town.

Oh, hey. We have been busy, you guys. Busy and boring. I need Zoe to go base jumping so I can have something to tell you. I did see Napoleon twice this weekend. He was sitting three feet away from my back porch, so I ran and grabbed my camera and the flipping battery was dead. I ran back into the kitchen to rummage through the drawers for my point and shoot (because everyone keeps their point and shoot next to the pot holders) and Troy walked out, saw him and yelled “KITTY!” and he took off. I also saw Napoleon yesterday in the neighbor’s yard across the street and he kept his back to me the whole time. I suspect that he’s giving me the silent treatment because all he really wanted was for me to pick him up and perhaps give him a bath.

Let’s recap.

Good: I finally got my hair cut and highlighted on Saturday for the first time since June. Three people complimented me before I got home, I totally look amazing.

Not Good: Once at home, Zoe tells me my hair is “big and kinda for a teenager” and asks if it is supposed to be so “white”. Eff.

Good: We take the kids to the cute toy store downtown.

Not Good: Troy shoplifts a truck, I go back inside, apologize and pay for it. Shop girl gives me judgey side eye.

Good: J tells me I shouldn’t cook dinner and takes us to our favorite little italian joint up the street from the toy store.

Not Good: I find a black hair in my salad.

Good: The manager gives me lots of free wine because he is filled with guilt. And shame.

Not Good: Troy decides to stand next to our table and crap his pants.

You can’t win them all.
