On November 12, 2009, Baby Troy turned two. He celebrated by going back to very hospital where he was born with a dislocated elbow courtesy of his sister. It was an accident, she was giving him a piggy back ride. By his arm.

After waiting with 34 people who probably all had swine flu, screaming through x-rays and Jeff and I being interviewed by five separate people regarding "the incident", Mr. Toasty's arm was popped back into place and he was good as new.

We finally made it home and dined on Troy's birthday dinner that he selected, lasagna that he calls pizza. Disregard that it was TEN O'CLOCK AT NIGHT.
Before the trauma, we took a trip to the bakery and let Troy choose a dessert. Being the refined toddler that he is, he chose a hazelnut croquant. Since his arm was working properly again, we decided to celebrate.

We stuck a candle in that bad boy and let him make a wish.

Please accept our apology and we can only hope that

We love you and hope you drop your lawsuit. Happy Birthday, Baby T.

Happy birthday asian ninja boy! You need to learn some new advanced ninja skills asap to ward off your family. I can introduce you to Suri if you want. She'll beat them all down.
This is definitely a birthday to remember! Hopefully it will all be overshadowed by his 21st. Happy Birthday Troy, say Hi to CPS for me!
Poor Mr. Man. Poor Zoe. I remember the one time I slapped my brother HARD on the back. There was a moment when life stopped, and then he started laughing and I started crying. Ah, siblings.
Ayuh...making memories. He'll be fine; you sober yet?
I agree with Susannah. Poor Troy, poor Zoe. I, too, remember the way the world stops when you hurt your little brother (with and without intent) just a bit too much. But, hey, memories, right?
Sounds like my house. No, really, are we realated?
Happy Birthday, ickle guy!
Oh my gosh this is priceless. I am SO sorry about the incident but so glad all is ok. All is ok right?? Hope you are well!
Steph
I spit out my coffee when I read that Mr. Toasty "totaled" your "downtown." OMG, that was awesome.
OH NO. Well, Happy Birthday little guy! Here's to another year (with no dislocations)
(hang in there, Mama. The ER sucks the life out of you. Sorry, lady!)
Poor kid. He's got the same worried look 2 years later.
First time visitor, but loved the way you told this story (especially the captioned pictures) so much that I'll be back!
Happy birthday to your son. Best wishes to you both for a painless year ahead.
Hi! I'm here via Heather (EO) and I have to say OHMYGOSH what a memorable way to mark a big day. Bless his heart. Bless YOUR heart!
Love the pictures, love the captions. So glad Heather introduced us. :)
And did you in turn quiz your daughter about "the incident"??
A "piggy back ride"?? Hmmmmm???? Sure...I give my kids "piggy back rides" alllll the time. ;)
Love the photos, and the captions are hilarious! Glad little mister is okay!
Happy late birthday, Baby T!
By the way, Z, your hubs is HAWT.
Tell Baby Troy to suck it up. Everyone knows you haven't lived until your sister has dislocated your elbow once or twice...or in Emmi's case, "helped her jump" off a windowseat resulting in eight stitches.
If Troy keeps acting all weak sauce, he'll keep getting beat. There's nothing wrong with hitting a girl.*
*Please don't send me hate mail. This is sarcasm.
Awwww, poor Troy. But he looked super cute throughout the whole thing. Happy Birthday, Troy!!!
I heard I would laugh out loud if I read you.... and boy did I. LOVE the pictures.
god, you make me laugh. beside all the obvious hilarity and your handsome husband and drop-dead stunners of babes...
i really enjoy your sense of humor. plus your chin matches your babe's. how cute is THAT?!
Boy, if this is how the birthday goes down at age two, you are in MAJOR trouble as he gets older. You know this, right?
Glad he was okay!!
